The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle involving 15 IAS officers, with several senior officials being assigned new responsibilities across divisional administration, development departments, the Revenue Council and the state secretariat. The changes are aimed at realigning administrative responsibilities across key areas of governance.
Among the major changes, Sangeeta Singh has been transferred from Aligarh and appointed Divisional Commissioner, Moradabad, while Om Prakash Arya, who was serving as Member (Judicial), Revenue Council, Prayagraj, has been posted as Divisional Commissioner, Aligarh.
Chaitra V. has been appointed Member (Administrative), Revenue Council, Lucknow, while Pramod Kumar Upadhyay has been posted as Commissioner, Rural Development, Uttar Pradesh. Ravindra Kumar has been appointed Secretary, Urban Development Department, after being relieved of his additional charge as Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban), and State Mission Director, AMRUT.
In another key change, Masoom Ali Sarwar has been assigned charge as Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban) and State Mission Director, AMRUT. Yogesh Kumar has been appointed Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural), while Kumar Prashant has been posted as Commissioner and Registrar, Cooperation Department.
Gurrala Srinivasulu has been appointed Secretary, Uttar Pradesh State Information Commission, while Amrit Pal Kaur, who was awaiting posting, has been assigned as Joint Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation Limited.
The reshuffle also includes appointments at the special secretary and Revenue Council levels. Devendra Kumar Pandey has been posted as Special Secretary, Consumer Affairs Department, while Vivek Srivastava has been appointed Special Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department.
Amrit Tripathi has been appointed Member (Judicial), Revenue Council, Prayagraj, and Om Prakash Rai has been posted as Special Secretary, Higher Education Department. Navneet Sehara, who was serving as Joint Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation, has been relieved from the post without a fresh assignment in the latest order.
The latest reshuffle marks a significant reorganisation of Uttar Pradesh’s senior administrative machinery, with experienced officers being moved into key positions overseeing urban development, rural administration, cooperation, higher education, consumer affairs and other important areas of state governance.
