The Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced the transfer and posting of Amrit Abhijat, IAS (Uttar Pradesh 1995), who is currently serving as Principal Secretary of the Urban Development, Urban Employment & Poverty Alleviation Department. He has been appointed as Principal Secretary – Tourism & Culture Department, with additional charge of the Religious Affairs Department, Uttar Pradesh.
In his new role, Amrit Abhijat will oversee initiatives to promote tourism, preserve cultural heritage, and strengthen religious affairs administration across the state. With extensive experience in urban development and public administration, he brings valuable expertise to drive strategic growth and sustainable development in Uttar Pradesh’s tourism and cultural sectors.
