The Government of Uttar Pradesh has approved the transfer and posting of Shri Amrit Tripathi, Indian Administrative Service officer, as Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Tripathi brings with him rich administrative experience and a commitment to public service, having previously served in key departmental and district-level roles across the state. His appointment comes at a time when the state is prioritizing reforms in the education sector, with a renewed focus on digital learning, institutional excellence, and alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
As Secretary, he will oversee the formulation and implementation of higher education policies, development of state universities and colleges, and coordination with regulatory bodies and academic institutions to drive quality improvements and equitable access.
He assumes charge with immediate effect.
