B Sairam, currently serving as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Northern Coalfields Limited, has been appointed as the Chairman & Managing Director of Coal India Limited, India’s largest coal-producing company.
B Sairam brings extensive experience in the coal and energy sector, having held leadership positions across several subsidiaries of Coal India Limited. Under his stewardship at Northern Coalfields Limited, he played a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, boosting coal production, and implementing sustainable mining practices.
In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives, driving production growth, and advancing sustainable energy and operational practices across Coal India Limited, contributing to the nation’s energy security and industrial growth.
