Google has appointed Gaurav Bhaskar as Senior Director, Global Communications and Public Affairs, Asia-Pacific (APAC), based in Singapore. With over two decades of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, and brand strategy, Bhaskar brings a wealth of expertise from his long tenure at Google India, where he served as Senior Director for Corporate Communications & Public Affairs across India, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
Throughout his career, Bhaskar has played a pivotal role in shaping Google’s strategic narratives, strengthening media engagement, and navigating complex policy landscapes across the region.
Prior to Google, he held leadership roles at Rediff.com, Vaishnavi Corporate Communications, Genesis Burson-Marsteller, and Perfect Relations, managing marquee clients such as Tata Indicom, Tata Communications, IBM, Apple, eBay India, and GAIL. Earlier in his career, he also gained operational and business development experience at Syscon Infotech, Opell Technologies, and IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd.
Bhaskar’s appointment underscores Google’s commitment to strong leadership in APAC and its focus on driving impactful, regionally resonant communications and public affairs strategies.
