Shri Harishankar Chaturvedi, Chief Project Manager at Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited (MRVC), has been selected as Director (Projects) by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) in its February 23, 2026 meeting (Minute No. 1, Meeting No. 15/2026). The recommendation, from 10 interviewed candidates, awaits the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approval to fill the vacant post after Rajeev Kumar Srivastava’s superannuation on March 31, 2026.
Chaturvedi topped candidates from RITES, IRCON, NHSRCL, and Railways, bringing extensive civil engineering project management expertise in suburban rail expansion and urban transport. As Director (Projects), he will oversee planning, engineering, execution of civil works, and AtmaNirbhar Bharat indigenisation, reporting to the CMD as a board member.
MRVC, a Ministry of Railways PSU, executes Mumbai suburban infrastructure like MUTP phases, capacity enhancements, and new corridors. Chaturvedi’s internal elevation ensures continuity for critical projects in India’s financial capital.
