The Government of Haryana has announced the appointment of J. Ganesan, IAS (2006 batch, Haryana cadre), as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of both the Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) and the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA).
In his expanded role, Mr. Ganesan will lead strategic urban development initiatives across the two key metropolitan regions, focusing on integrated infrastructure, sustainable mobility, and technology-driven urban governance.
He will also continue to serve concurrently as:
Director General / Secretary, Housing for All Department
Chief Administrator, Haryana Housing Board
CEO, Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) for:
Haryana AI Development Project (HAIDP)
Haryana Clean Air Project for Sustainable Development (HCAPSD)
and other externally aided projects under the State Government.
With this appointment, Mr. Ganesan will play a pivotal role in driving smart city planning, digital infrastructure, and sustainable housing development across Haryana’s rapidly growing metropolitan regions.
