Senior IAS officer John Kingsly has taken over as Secretary to the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Department of Horticulture and Food Processing, marking an important administrative development for the state’s agriculture and allied sectors. In his new role, he will oversee policy formulation, programme execution, and inter-departmental coordination aimed at strengthening horticulture production, food processing infrastructure, and value-chain development across Madhya Pradesh.
With a strong background in public administration, Kingsly is expected to focus on improving farmer incomes, promoting agri-based industries, enhancing post-harvest management, and encouraging private investment in food processing. His leadership will be key to advancing initiatives related to crop diversification, cold-chain development, processing units, and export-oriented horticulture, while ensuring alignment with both state and central government schemes.
