The Government of Assam has issued transfer and posting orders for Ms. Kanika, IAS (Assam-Meghalaya: 2022). Presently serving as Co-District Commissioner, Nazira, she has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, General Administration Department, Government of Assam.
In her new capacity, Ms. Kanika will assist in the formulation and implementation of policies, coordination of administrative matters, and strengthening of governance processes within the General Administration Department.
The transfer is a part of the regular administrative reshuffle aimed at optimizing the deployment of officers for improved governance and efficiency. The Government of Assam places on record its appreciation for Ms. Kanika’s services in her previous assignment and conveys its best wishes to her as she takes up her new responsibilities.
