PAIMANA Dashboard Reveals 1,702 Infra Projects Worth ₹39 Lakh Cr Underway

The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation’s PAIMANA portal reports 1,702 ongoing central sector infrastructure projects across 17 ministries, totalling a revised cost of ₹39.25 lakh crore as of January 2026. Cumulative expenditure stands at ₹20.02 lakh crore, representing 51.01% completion.
Transport & Logistics dominates with 1,180 projects valued at ₹20.65 lakh crore, prioritising connectivity via roads, railways, and urban transit. Energy follows with 218 projects at ₹10.84 lakh crore, focusing on power generation, transmission, oil & gas, and renewables.
Progress highlights include 645 projects (38%) exceeding 80% physical completion and 240 (14%) over 80% financial progress. In January, 3 projects were commissioned, such as the Third Railway Line Patratu–Sonnagar (₹8,975 cr) and Khavda RE Evacuation (₹2,821 cr).
Additionally, 203 new projects were onboarded, led by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (169), Health & Family Welfare (15), and Power (9). Standouts: Nabinagar Super Thermal Power (₹29,948 cr), Rajasthan Power Transmission (₹25,000 cr), and Delhi Metro Phase V-A (₹12,015 cr).
