Refroid Technologies and TierX Data Centre Solutions unveil India’s first comprehensive Sovereign AI Infrastructure Stack, combining indigenous modular data centres with liquid cooling optimised for Nvidia H100/B100 GPU clusters and sovereign AI workloads. This landmark partnership delivers pre-integrated, Tier III-certified modules deployable in 90 days, half the timeline of conventional builds.
TierX’s containerised EdgePODs integrate Refroid’s DLC and immersion systems, supporting 100-500kW racks with single-digit PUE through single-phase dielectric fluids and advanced heat rejection. Factory pre-commissioning eliminates 70% site risks, enabling rapid deployment across defence, government, and private sovereign clouds.
Key differentiators include India-sourced CDUs/pumps (95% BoM localisation), BPCL-Refroid dielectric coolants, and Karnataka government-backed manufacturing scaling to 2GW capacity. The stack addresses India’s 78GW AI compute demand by 2030 while meeting data localisation mandates under the DPDP Act.
Refroid CEO Satya Bhavaraju highlighted modular sovereignty, reducing latency for real-time AI inference, critical for defence/healthcare. TierX MD Ravi Kumar E emphasised ESG advantages, CO2 savings equivalent to 50,000 EVs annually per 10MW cluster.
Initial deployments target 500MW sovereign capacity across 10 sites, supporting IndiaAI Mission’s 10,000 GPU public access commitment. Partnerships with CII and state governments accelerate PLI scheme utilisation for domestic hyperscale expansion.
