Srinivas Voruganti, Chief Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, has assumed additional charge as Chairperson of the Rajasthan River Basin and Water Resources Planning Authority.

Currently, Srinivas Voruganti also serves as Chairman of the Rajasthan Mines and Mineral Development Corporation, Chief Resident Commissioner of Rajasthan, and President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, Brussels. The additional responsibility further strengthens his role in shaping Rajasthan’s strategic governance and sustainable resource management framework.

As Chairperson of the Rajasthan River Basin and Water Resources Planning Authority, Voruganti will oversee integrated planning, policy coordination, and sustainable utilization of water resources across river basins in the state. His leadership is expected to play a crucial role in addressing water security, climate resilience, and long-term infrastructure planning in Rajasthan.

The assumption of charge took place on February 3, 2026, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Government of Rajasthan.

With extensive administrative experience and national as well as international exposure in public governance, Srinivas Voruganti’s expanded mandate is seen as a significant step toward strengthening water governance and resource planning in the state.
