The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is set to host a spectacular drone show during the Mahakumbh, in Prayagraj.

The drone show will narrate the ancient historical events that led to the genesis of the Mahakumbh. Scheduled to take place on January 24, 25, and 26, the show will feature different themes for each day at the Sangam. The event will showcase a unique blend of tradition and technology, with Make-in-India drones lighting up the skies in Mahakumbh city.

The Uttar Pradesh’s Tourism and Culture Minister, Jaiveer Singh shared details of the event, emphasizing its grandeur and significance. “On January 24, the theme of the drone show will celebrate Uttar Pradesh Diwas, followed by National Tourism Day on January 25, and Republic Day on January 26. The show will also depict the legendary tale of the Samudra Manthan, highlighting the emergence of 14 Ratnas, the greatness of Lord Shiva who consumed the poison to save the world, and the sacred Kumbh Kalash, from which the drops of Amrit fell marking the genesis of the Mahakumbh. Additionally, the holy chant of “Om” will resonate the atmosphere of Mahakumbh with the spiritual energy”, the minister said.

Over the course of three days, 2,500 drones will create intricate religious and cultural formations in the sky.

The drone show will be free for visitors on the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Day, offering an unparalleled visual treat to millions of devotees.
