The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) has announced the appointment of Uday Shankar, Vice Chairman of Bodhi Tree Systems and Chairman of Lupa India, and Joe Creed, CEO of Caterpillar Inc., to its Board of Directors.
Uday Shankar, a veteran media executive and co-founder of Bodhi Tree Systems, has played a pioneering role in shaping the Indian media and entertainment landscape. His platform has made key strategic investments in leading companies such as JioStar, AILEEN Career Institute, and other ventures spanning media, education, and tech services in the Indian Ocean region.
As Vice Chairman of JioStar, Shankar oversees content innovation and broadcasting strategy, influencing one of India’s largest media enterprises. His past leadership at Star India brought about transformative digital and broadcast innovations, including the launch of Hotstar and India’s first 24-hour news channel.
Joe Creed assumed the role of CEO of Caterpillar Inc. in May 2023, leading one of the world’s largest equipment manufacturers with nearly 113,000 employees. Under his leadership, Caterpillar is focusing on global innovation in equipment, sustainability, and services.
