Vivek Yadav has assumed the role of Director (IT & Cyber Security) at the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. An information and cybersecurity evangelist, Mr. Yadav brings a distinguished portfolio of expertise in blockchain technologies, cryptography, secure system design and development, and cyber risk management.
A FCDO-Chevening Cybersecurity Fellow (UK), he has honed his skills at Cranfield University, UK, and IIT Kanpur. His multifaceted experience also includes specialized operational training as a combat diver, reflecting a unique blend of technical and strategic capabilities.
In his new role, Mr. Yadav will focus on strengthening the Ministry’s IT and cybersecurity posture, driving innovation, and safeguarding critical national digital infrastructure.
