Nestlé India Names Manish Tiwary as Chairman & MD, Marks New Era of Leadership

Nestlé India has announced the appointment of Manish Tiwary, former Amazon India executive, as its new Chairman and Managing Director, effective August 1, 2025. Tiwary succeeds Suresh Narayanan, who will retire after a successful decade at the helm and over 26 years of service with Nestlé.

A seasoned business leader, Manish Tiwary brings nearly 30 years of experience in consumer goods and digital commerce. Before joining Nestlé India earlier this year as MD-designate, he played a pivotal role in shaping Amazon India’s retail strategy and also held key leadership positions at Hindustan Unilever.

Tiwary’s appointment signals a strategic shift for Nestlé India as it prepares to navigate a rapidly evolving consumer landscape. Known for his deep expertise in brand building, digital transformation, and supply chain modernization, Tiwary is expected to lead the company into its next phase of innovation and growth.

This leadership change comes at a crucial time for the FMCG major, which is focusing on portfolio expansion, deeper market penetration, and operational efficiency amidst rising input costs and intensifying competition.

Nestlé India’s board has approved Tiwary’s five-year term, extending through July 2030, as part of a long-term succession plan aimed at sustaining business momentum and driving future-ready strategies.

With this transition, Nestlé India is poised to continue its legacy of trust while embracing new-age leadership to strengthen its market presence and consumer connect across the country.
