The Government of India has appointed K Balaji, IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2010), as Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Central Staffing Scheme. He will assume charge of the position for the remaining period of his five-year tenure at the Director level, up to 27 April 2027.
K Balaji brings extensive administrative experience from his service in the Uttar Pradesh cadre, where he has held various key positions contributing to governance, policy implementation, and public administration. In his new role at the Ministry of Home Affairs, he will play a pivotal role in supporting central government initiatives, policy coordination, and strategic decision-making across critical portfolios.
Commenting on the appointment, officials noted that his expertise and experience will strengthen the Ministry’s capacity to execute programs efficiently and support national-level administrative priorities
