IAS Alok Kumar II, who is serving as Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics in the Government of Uttar Pradesh, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Principal Secretary, Finance, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Announcing the development, Kumar highlighted the importance of sound fiscal management, efficient resource allocation and outcome-oriented public expenditure in supporting the state’s economic growth ambitions.
He noted that as Uttar Pradesh works towards becoming a leading engine of India’s growth, strengthening its financial foundations will remain essential to achieving its development priorities.
In his expanded role, Kumar will work with various government departments to contribute to the state’s fiscal management and support its broader development agenda. The additional responsibility brings finance administration into his existing portfolio of IT and Electronics.
