The Kotak School of Sustainability (KSS) at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is delighted to announce the appointment of Shri D. S. Mishra, former Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, as a Visiting Professor of Practice.
With a distinguished career spanning decades in public administration, Shri Mishra has been instrumental in shaping India’s urban governance, housing reforms, and sustainable city development agenda. His leadership has contributed significantly to transformative policies in infrastructure, smart cities, and urban resilience.
At the Kotak School of Sustainability, Shri Mishra will play a key role in advancing practice-driven learning and policy research, fostering deeper engagement between academia, government, and industry. His expertise will strengthen KSS’s efforts to integrate sustainability, governance, and technology-led innovation in addressing India’s evolving urban challenges.
