Senior IAS officer Ajitabh Sharma has been promoted to the Apex Scale and appointed as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan, with effect from January 1, 2026.
The elevation recognises his extensive administrative experience and long-standing contributions to state governance. As Additional Chief Secretary, Sharma will be involved in high-level policy formulation, strategic decision-making, and coordination across departments, supporting the government’s administrative and development priorities.
In this role, Ajitabh Sharma Additional Chief Secretary Rajasthan is expected to play a key part in strengthening institutional processes and ensuring smoother inter-departmental functioning at the senior-most levels of the state administration.
