Devesh Verma Elevated to Chief Digital Officer at Bank of Maharashtra

Bank of Maharashtra has elevated Devesh Verma to the position of Chief Digital Officer (CDO), reinforcing its focus on advancing digital transformation and innovation across its operations.

Previously serving as General Manager at the bank, Verma now takes on an expanded leadership role, where he will be responsible for driving the institution’s digital strategy and strengthening its technology-led initiatives.

With extensive experience in digital banking and IT transformation, Verma has held key positions across leading financial institutions including Poonawalla Fincorp, Kotak Mahindra Bank, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank. Throughout his career, he has led multiple initiatives spanning digital innovation, technology strategy, and fintech integration.

In his new role, he is expected to lead efforts aimed at enhancing digital capabilities, improving customer experience, and accelerating the bank’s transformation journey in an increasingly technology-driven financial landscape.

Verma also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security from the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, adding further depth to his expertise in digital and security domains.

His elevation highlights the bank’s continued commitment to strengthening its digital leadership and driving innovation-led growth.
