Vishal Anand Kanvaty has been elevated to the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at NPCI, where he leads the strategy and roadmap for its payments product portfolio. In his expanded role, he will lead the organisation’s strategic vision and drive growth across emerging technology domains, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, digital financial infrastructure and Global Capability Centre (GCC) services.
He is also the founder of EzyRemit, a blockchain-based cross-border remittance venture. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Altimetrik and Wipro Technologies and gained project management experience at First Data Corporation.
With experience spanning payments, banking technology and digital innovation, Kanvaty’s elevation marks a new chapter in his leadership journey at NPCI.
