Former Government of India Officer Begins New Leadership Journey
Kumar Priyadarshi Rozana Chief Public Policy Officer marks a significant leadership transition as the former Government of India official has joined Rozana as Chief Public Policy Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Rozana Foundation. After serving the Government of India for over 12 years, he now moves into the private sector to lead public policy, rural commerce, and social impact initiatives.
His appointment reflects Rozana’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team as it expands its focus on rural entrepreneurship, livelihood development, and public policy engagement.
Concluding More Than a Decade in Public Service
Before joining Rozana, Kumar Priyadarshi served the Government of India for over 12 years across several key ministries, including MSME, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and most recently, the Ministry of Textiles.
Throughout his tenure, he contributed to policy implementation, entrepreneurship development, rural livelihood initiatives, and flagship government programmes while working closely with senior ministers, policymakers, industry bodies, and government institutions.
Driving Public Policy and Rural Development
In his new dual role, Kumar Priyadarshi will lead Rozana’s public policy initiatives while serving as CEO of Rozana Foundation.
His responsibilities will include strengthening government engagement, expanding rural commerce initiatives, supporting livelihood creation, building rural retail and distribution ecosystems, and advancing social impact programmes that empower rural entrepreneurs across India.

Extensive Experience Across Policy and Banking
Prior to joining the Government of India, Priyadarshi held leadership positions at ING and ICICI Bank, where he gained experience in corporate banking, SME business development, relationship management, and financial services.
His career combines expertise across government affairs, legal affairs, public policy, banking, entrepreneurship, and stakeholder engagement.
