Gurugram, Haryana: Signify has elevated Irani Srivastava Roy to the position of Head of HR – Greater India & Emerging Markets, significantly expanding her leadership responsibilities across a broad international portfolio. In her new role, she will oversee human resources strategy across India, ASEAN, Pacific, Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Japan, Korea, Latin America, and multiple manufacturing operations spanning Argentina, China, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Brazil.

As Head of HR – Greater India & Emerging Markets, Roy will be responsible for driving people strategy across diverse geographies while supporting business growth, leadership development, organizational capability building, employee engagement, and culture transformation initiatives.
Her expanded mandate comes at a time when organizations are increasingly focusing on talent agility, leadership succession, workforce transformation, and employee experience to support global business objectives.
Leadership Journey at Signify
Prior to her elevation, Roy served as Chief Human Resources Officer – India Subcontinent at Signify, a position she held since 2022.
During her tenure, she played a key role in aligning human resources strategy with business priorities, strengthening organizational effectiveness, enhancing leadership capabilities, driving employee engagement, and supporting the company’s growth objectives in one of its most important markets.
Her contributions have helped strengthen Signify’s people agenda while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence.
Extensive Experience Across HR and Business Transformation
Before joining Signify, Roy served as Executive Vice President, Head – Distribution HR and Diversity & Inclusion at Max Life Insurance Company Limited. In that role, she led people strategy for the company’s distribution business while advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Earlier, she was part of Accenture Strategy’s Talent & Organisation consulting practice in London, where she advised global organizations across banking, telecommunications, consumer goods, retail, defence, and public sector industries. Her work focused on HR transformation, organizational design, mergers and acquisitions, operating models, leadership development, and change management.
Over the course of her career, Roy has also held leadership positions at India Mortgage Guarantee Corporation, Royal Bank of Scotland, HDFC Bank, PwC, and Indian Hotels (Taj Hotels), building deep expertise across talent management, business partnering, compensation and benefits, organizational transformation, employee engagement, and leadership development.
