Senior IAS officer Anurag Jain is set to assume charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog on August 17, bringing his extensive administrative experience to the Centre’s premier public policy institution.
A 1989-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, Jain most recently served as Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh. During his career, he has handled several important assignments at both the state and central levels, gaining experience across governance, infrastructure and policy administration.
He will serve as CEO for an overall period of two years, subject to the terms outlined in the government order.
His move from the state’s top administrative position to NITI Aayog places him at the centre of national policy coordination and development planning. His appointment is expected to bring continuity and administrative experience to the institution as it works on key economic and development priorities.
