The Delhi government has appointed Vivek Pandey, IAS, as the new Secretary of the Urban Development Department, GNCTD, as part of a recent administrative reshuffle.
A 2003-batch AGMUT cadre officer, Pandey brings extensive administrative experience to the new assignment. He has previously held key responsibilities in different departments, including significant postings in Arunachal Pradesh.
As Secretary, Urban Development, Pandey will oversee matters concerning urban planning, development and civic infrastructure in the national capital. His appointment comes amid the Delhi government’s continued focus on strengthening urban governance and improving public infrastructure.
The reshuffle has also seen several senior IAS and DANICS officers receive new assignments across important departments, including Finance, Home, Environment, Education and Irrigation & Flood Control.
With his experience across multiple administrative roles, Pandey’s new posting is expected to add further administrative focus to Delhi’s urban development agenda.
