The Delhi Government has appointed Shweta Nagarkoti, IAS, as Deputy Commissioner in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), with the posting taking effect from August 7, 2026. The appointment was made as part of a recent administrative reshuffle in the Delhi Government.
A 2020-batch AGMUT cadre officer, Nagarkoti was awaiting posting before being assigned the new responsibility. She previously served as Deputy Commissioner in Keyi Panyor, Arunachal Pradesh, where she handled district-level administration.
Her appointment to MCD brings her administrative experience to Delhi’s municipal governance framework, with responsibilities involving civic administration and public service delivery.
The latest posting is part of a wider series of administrative changes across the Delhi Government, involving several IAS and DANICS officers in key departments and positions.
