Vibha Padalkar has been reappointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Life for a further five-year term, effective September 12, 2026, following approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Padalkar has led HDFC Life as MD & CEO since 2018, after serving as the company’s Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer. She joined HDFC Life in 2008 and played an important role in the company’s growth and listing before taking over as CEO.
With more than three decades of professional experience, Padalkar has built a career spanning financial services, corporate finance, strategy and business leadership. Before joining HDFC Life, she served as Executive Vice President – Finance at WNS Global Services and began her career with Colgate-Palmolive.
During her tenure at HDFC Life, she has overseen several significant business initiatives, including the company’s expansion and the integration of Exide Life. Under her leadership, HDFC Life has also strengthened its market position and expanded its assets under management.
The reappointment provides leadership continuity for HDFC Life as the company enters its next phase of growth, with Padalkar continuing to guide its strategic direction and long-term business priorities.
