Rameshwer Meena, IRSSE, has assumed charge as Director (Systems) of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), strengthening the organisation’s senior leadership with his extensive experience in railway signalling and systems. He joined the NCRTC Board on August 19, 2026.
A 1992-batch officer of the Indian Railways Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE), Meena is an Electronics and Communication engineer with more than 30 years of experience in Indian Railways. Before joining NCRTC, he was serving as Principal Executive Director (Efficiency & Research) at the Railway Board.
Throughout his career, Meena has held several important positions, including Executive Director (Signal) at the Railway Board and Group General Manager (S&T) at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). He has also served in key capacities across North Central Railway, the Central Organisation for Railway Electrification and Western Railway.
In his new role at NCRTC, Meena will contribute his expertise in signalling, telecommunications, railway systems and technology to the organisation’s ongoing regional rapid transit initiatives. NCRTC is responsible for developing the Namo Bharat regional rail network across the National Capital Region.
His appointment brings significant technical and operational experience to NCRTC as the organisation continues to expand advanced regional rail infrastructure and strengthen modern urban mobility across the NCR.
