Shri Narendra Bhooshan has assumed charge as Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), bringing more than three decades of administrative experience across the Central and State Governments.
In his new role, Bhooshan will contribute to the Ministry’s work across environment, forests and climate change, drawing on his extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, urban development, finance and land-resource management.
Over the course of his administrative career, he has worked across diverse sectors, giving him experience in managing complex public-sector initiatives and development programmes.
His appointment comes as the Ministry continues to address key priorities around environmental management, sustainable development and climate-related challenges, with his cross-sector administrative experience adding to its leadership.
