The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Shri Akash Tripathi, IAS, as Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India.
Shri Tripathi, an officer with wide-ranging administrative experience, will be responsible for leading SECI’s efforts in promoting, developing, and accelerating the adoption of renewable energy across India. His mandate will include overseeing project implementation, policy facilitation, and strategic partnerships to advance India’s clean energy transition.
This appointment reflects the Government’s strong emphasis on scaling up renewable energy capacity and driving the country’s commitment towards energy security, sustainability, and net-zero goals.
