Dr Nayanjyoti Goswami Appointed Managing Director of Assam Innovation and Startup Foundation (AISF)

Dr. Nayanjyoti Goswami has been appointed Managing Director of Assam Innovation and Startup Foundation (AISF), bringing extensive experience in innovation ecosystems, technology commercialization, and entrepreneurship development to Northeast India’s premier startup accelerator.
A PhD in Biotechnology with postdoctoral research from the USA, Dr. Goswami previously served as Executive Director at IIT Guwahati’s Technology Incubation Centre and advisor to multiple Northeast startup initiatives. His leadership will scale AISF’s mentorship programs, funding access, and market linkages, supporting 500+ startups across deep-tech, agritech, and healthtech verticals.
AISF under Dr. Goswami’s guidance will execute Assam Startup Policy 2.0, targeting 10,000 job creation by 2028 through seed funding, incubation infrastructure, and global investor connect. Priority sectors include AI, renewable energy, and sustainable tourism, leveraging Assam’s biodiversity and strategic location.
Dr. Goswami’s prior roles include Director at Assam Science Technology and Environment Council and visiting faculty at IIM Shillong’s entrepreneurship programs. His track record features the successful commercialization of 25+ IIT-developed technologies and mentoring 150+ Northeast founders.
