The Government of India has appointed Dr. Shailesh, IAS (Tripura cadre, 2013 batch), as Deputy Secretary in the National Health Authority (NHA), Delhi, under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, through the Central Staffing Scheme.
In his new role, Dr. Shailesh will contribute to the policy formulation, implementation, and monitoring of flagship national health programmes, with a focus on expanding access, enhancing digital health infrastructure, and strengthening healthcare delivery systems under the NHA’s mandate.
With a track record of dedicated service in public administration, Dr. Shailesh brings valuable governance experience, strategic planning skills, and a commitment to advancing citizen-centric healthcare reforms. His expertise is expected to bolster the NHA’s efforts in driving innovation, improving operational efficiency, and achieving the goals of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and other national health initiatives.
