Fortis Elevates Yashpal Singh Rawat to SVP and SBU Head at Flagship Gurugram Institute

Fortis Healthcare promoted Yashpal Singh Rawat to Senior Vice President, with oversight as SBU Head for Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram, its flagship facility. Since joining as Vice President and Facility Director in April 2024, he elevated monthly revenue from ₹70 crore to over ₹100 crore through operational excellence and patient-centric strategies.
Previously Facility Director at Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj, Rawat transformed operations, clinical governance, and patient experience. At FMRI, his tenure advanced precision medicine via the Fortis Institute of Genomic Medicine, integrated tech for digital transformation, and launched community programs on thalassemia, hypertension, and preventive care.
Under his leadership, FMRI ranked 36th globally, and India’s sole entry, in Newsweek/Statista’s World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2026, highlighting digital maturity. He supported clinical milestones like the sickle cell disease stem-cell transplant study and mentors startups via IIT Bombay’s E-Cell.
