Google Cloud to Establish World’s Largest AI Hub in Visakhapatnam with $15 Billion Investment

In a landmark development, Google Cloud has announced plans to build the world’s largest Artificial Intelligence and Data Centre Hub in Visakhapatnam, marking the tech giant’s biggest investment outside the United States.

The announcement was made by Thomas Kurien, Global CEO of Google Cloud, who revealed that the company will invest $15 billion in the project over the next five years. The facility is expected to expand to multiple gigawatts of capacity, positioning India as a global hub for AI infrastructure and innovation.

The Visakhapatnam AI Hub will serve as the anchor for Google’s network of AI and data centres across 12 countries, reinforcing India’s strategic importance in the company’s global roadmap for next-generation cloud and AI capabilities.

The initiative is projected to drive substantial economic growth, job creation, and skill development in the region while accelerating the nation’s ambitions in the digital and AI-driven economy.
