The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has announced the transfer and appointment of Shri Gurpal Singh, IAS (AGMUT Cadre – 2014) as Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL).
Prior to this appointment, Shri Singh was serving as Director, Social Welfare, Jammu, where he contributed to policy implementation, welfare programme management, and service delivery initiatives.
In his new role as Managing Director, JPDCL, Shri Singh will oversee power distribution operations in the Jammu region, with a focus on strengthening infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring reliable electricity supply to consumers.
This appointment underscores the administration’s commitment to enhancing leadership capacity in the power sector to support economic growth and improve public service delivery.
