The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension in the upgradation of the post of Shri Amitesh Kumar Sinha, IRAS (1997) from Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) for a term up to 09 August 2026.
Shri Sinha has played a pivotal role in advancing India’s digital governance and technology initiatives, contributing to policy formulation, project execution, and the expansion of digital infrastructure. His leadership has been instrumental in driving innovation, strengthening cybersecurity frameworks, and enhancing citizen-centric e-governance services.
The extension reflects the Government of India’s confidence in Shri Sinha’s capabilities to lead strategic programmes under MeitY’s mandate and to accelerate the country’s journey towards a robust, inclusive, and technology-driven economy.
