HCLTech has announced the reappointment of Vijayakumar C as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, with his new term set to begin on September 1, 2025, and extend until March 31, 2030, subject to shareholder approval and retirement by rotation.
Vijayakumar has been at the helm of HCLTech since October 2016 and has played a pivotal role in steering the company’s global growth, digital transformation, and innovation-first strategy. His leadership has helped position HCLTech as a world-class player in digital, cloud, engineering, cybersecurity, and AI services.
Starting his journey with HCL in 1994 as a senior engineer, Vijayakumar’s rise through the ranks is a testament to his deep understanding of technology, operations, and business. He has held several critical leadership roles across geographies and service lines over the past three decades.
An alumnus of P.S.G. College of Technology, he holds a degree in electrical and electronics engineering and is widely respected in the global tech community for his visionary leadership and execution excellence.
