HDFC Bank has announced the elevation of Sandeep Sood as Head – Information Technology Risk, underscoring the bank’s focus on strengthening its digital risk and resilience strategy.
Sood, who earlier served as Senior Vice President – Information Technology Risk at HDFC Bank, brings over two decades of cross-sector expertise in IT infrastructure, risk, and operations. His career includes leadership roles at L&T Finance Services, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), where he contributed significantly to IT operations and infrastructure management.
He has also held pivotal positions at Tata Tele Business Services, Skypower UK International Ltd, Nelco Limited, and HCLTech. Sood began his career as Assistant Director – Technical at STPI NOIDA under the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, where he gained foundational experience in technology and network management.
At HDFC Bank, Sood will now spearhead initiatives to strengthen IT risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, and bolster cyber resilience, aligning with the bank’s digital-first strategy in an evolving financial ecosystem.
