Shri Jeetesh Sharma repatriated to parent cadre from WDRA on personal grounds

Shri Jeetesh Sharma, Director (Administration & Finance) at the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA), has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre on personal grounds, according to PSU‑focused news portal PSU Connect. The move has been formalised through a Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) office memorandum, allowing the 1998‑batch Indian Trade Service (ITS) officer to return to his parent service stream while the Government evaluates his future deployment.
PSU Connect notes that Sharma’s repatriation falls under the “premature transfer” category, which is invoked when an officer seeks to move back to the parent cadre before completing the regular tenure in a statutory or quasi‑government body. In his case, the request was routed through the Ministry handling the WDRA, and the repatriation has been cleared on the grounds of personal reasons. Typically, such cases are processed by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC)‑secretariat under the DoPT.
At WDRA, Sharma was responsible for the Authority’s administrative and financial functions, including budgetary oversight, establishment matters, and inter‑ministerial coordination. His exit opens up a senior‑level vacancy in the Authority’s leadership structure, which is likely to be filled either through an internal elevation or a fresh deputation from the ITS/parent cadre.
