Nari Shakti: The Enduring Power of Women in Building Society

In   Hinduism, it has been very rightly said that “Shakti” represents the divine feminine energy that is the source of all creation, embodying power, strength, and the dynamic force of the universe. The Goddess of Knowledge, strength, and Valour is all symbolised as the feminine gender, also known as “Nari Shakti.”

Women, not only today has made a mark by landing on the moon, by being CEOs of multi nationals, by being successful entrepreneurs, known as world leaders, doctors, scientists and engineers but since the creation of the universe, women is the creator giving birth to a new life is the first teacher to the new born, the pillar of strength, teaching coping skills to the children and a true fighter in safeguarding the family and an efficient multi-tasker having boundless energy.

Hence, empowering girls with education, freedom to voice their opinion, explore the world, and provide opportunity to stand on their own feet – brings in stability, progress, and all-round development not only in their lives and families but also in the country.

Today, the financial independence of women is a must in bringing about the overall progress of society. It should be our moral responsibility to lend a supporting hand to those girls and women who are less fortunate than us by making them self reliant by supporting them to work, appreciate their hardships and encourage them to step out of their comfort zones and teach them the value to save money for rainy days as well as teach them to never give up but to always bounce back. Listening to them with a patient ear, giving them true advice, and holding their hands when they are in real need, under stress, and to reassure them that “they can do it” is a big confidence boost and support for them.

Women supporting another woman can truly transform lives be it amongst mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship or comradeship amongst junior /peer/senior women colleagues, can together discover possibilities and soar higher and higher in life as only the Sky would then be the limit!

On an important occasion of “Women’s Day,” let us all take a pledge to strengthen each other, give a supportive shoulder, and hold hands with each other to uplift not only ourselves but be an epitome of unfaltering support to women around to build a more cohesive and happy surrounding!

Happy Women’s Day, I salute you all – the precious diamonds who signify love, sacrifice, beauty, patience, tenderness, and for her family, she is the Rock of Gibraltar, the pillar of strength, and the root of the banyan tree.
