As Executive Director, Rao will play a key role in driving the strategic and operational priorities of Central Warehousing Corporation while supporting the organization’s continued focus on technology-enabled warehousing, logistics modernization, and operational excellence.
His elevation reflects CWC’s recognition of his long-standing contributions to digital transformation and systems modernization across the organization.
Over a Decade of Leadership at Central Warehousing Corporation
Rao has been associated with Central Warehousing Corporation since 2012, initially serving as General Manager (Systems) before being elevated to Group General Manager in 2020.
During his tenure, he has led several technology transformation initiatives aimed at modernizing CWC’s operations by implementing IT solutions and aligning digital capabilities with evolving business requirements.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, he has represented CWC on the Boards of several state warehousing corporations, including Haryana, Punjab, Kerala, Assam, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh.
Extensive Experience in Technology and Public Sector Logistics
Before joining CWC, Rao served for nearly 18 years as Deputy General Manager (Systems) at MMTC Limited, where he gained extensive experience in enterprise technology and systems management.
He has also contributed to several national-level technology initiatives, including serving as a Member of the Technical Evaluation Group for the ICEGATE project under the Central Board of Excise and Customs and as a Member of the Standing Committee on Technology at the National Multi-Commodity Exchange of India Limited.
His expertise spans digital transformation, enterprise systems, logistics technology, warehousing modernization, and governance.
