Rahul Himalian has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD)of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
The additional responsibility has been assigned by the Ministry of Railways, under which Himalian will oversee the operations and strategic functions of IRCTC until further orders or the appointment of a regular incumbent.
A senior railway officer with extensive administrative and operational experience, Himalian has held several key assignments during his career in the Indian Railways. His elevation to the additional role reflects the Ministry’s confidence in his leadership and administrative capabilities.
IRCTC plays a pivotal role in Indian Railways’ passenger services through its catering, tourism, online ticketing, and packaged drinking water businesses. As CMD, Himalian will oversee the corporation’s ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
