J P Dash Assumes Charge as Director General Ordnance (Coordination & Services)

Senior defence official J P Dash has assumed charge as Director General Ordnance (Coordination & Services) with effect from 4 August 2026, marking a new responsibility after more than three decades of service across key government and defence-related institutions.

With over 36 years of professional experience, Shri Dash has served across the Ordnance Factories, Staff Selection Commission, India Government Mint, Hyderabad, and the National Academy of Defence Production.

In his new role, he is expected to contribute towards strengthening operational excellence, coordination, and service delivery within the defence ecosystem. The appointment comes at a time when India’s defence sector is witnessing significant transformation driven by innovation, self-reliance, technology, and capacity building.

Sharing the development, Shri Dash expressed commitment to institution building and contributing to India’s broader national mission, while acknowledging the support and learning gained throughout his career.
