Amol Taori has assumed charge as Director (Finance) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), marking a new addition to the company’s senior leadership team.
Before joining POWERGRID, Taori served as Executive Director (In-charge), International Trade at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). He brings nearly 30 years of professional experience across diverse areas, including finance, treasury, international trade, marketing and compensation management.
His extensive experience in financial operations and strategic management is expected to support POWERGRID’s financial planning and overall business operations as the company continues to strengthen India’s power transmission infrastructure.
Taori’s career at HPCL also gave him exposure to international business and trade, adding to his experience in managing complex financial and commercial responsibilities.
POWERGRID plays a key role in India’s electricity transmission sector, operating and developing a large-scale transmission network that connects power generation centres with distribution systems across the country.
With Taori taking charge of the finance portfolio, his experience across financial and commercial functions is expected to contribute to the company’s continued growth and operational efficiency.
