The Ministry of Ayush has launched an inspiring film series, Ayush for All: Holistic Health Care through National Ayush Mission, highlighting the profound progress and transformative impact of the National Ayush Mission (NAM). The series was unveiled by Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (IC), Ministry of Ayush and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
Speaking at the launch, Shri Jadhav emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to providing equitable, affordable, and holistic healthcare to every citizen, even in the remotest regions of the country. The initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to make Ayush knowledge and resources more accessible to the public.
National Ayush Mission: Revolutionizing Holistic Healthcare
NAM, a Centrally Sponsored Scheme, has been instrumental in strengthening Ayush healthcare services and integrating them into mainstream public health. Key highlights of the mission include:
- Infrastructure Growth: Establishment of 167 Integrated Ayush Hospitals and the upgrade of 416 hospitals and 5,036 dispensaries.
- Co-Location Initiatives: Enhanced facilities at 2,322 PHCs, 715 CHCs, and 314 DHs annually.
- Medicine Accessibility: Annual supply of essential Ayush medicines to 996 hospitals and 12,405 dispensaries.
- Education Development: Support for 16 new Ayush educational institutions and upgrades for 112 others.
- Holistic Wellness: Establishment of 3,883 Yoga Wellness Centres, 1,055 Ayush Grams, and 12,500 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, fostering a nationwide wellness movement.

Shri Jadhav praised NAM’s success in delivering cost-effective, traditional healthcare solutions to underserved populations. He noted, “This film series is a step towards showcasing Ayush’s pivotal role in reducing disease burdens and promoting wellness across the nation.”
The films feature real-life stories of transformation, illustrating how NAM, in collaboration with state and UT governments, has improved healthcare access and reduced out-of-pocket expenses for rural and underserved communities.

Ms. Kavita Garg, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to digital accessibility, announcing that the series will be available on the Ministry’s official YouTube channel.
