Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently inaugurated Sify Data Centre Services in Greater Noida, marking a significant step in the state’s digital transformation and AI-driven future. During the event, he also announced plans to establish an artificial intelligence data center in Lucknow, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to technological advancement and innovation.
Emphasizing the state’s rapid industrial and business growth, CM Yogi highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s 33 Sectoral Policies, designed to attract investments and boost economic development. Speaking on the occasion, Sharad Agarwal, CEO of Sify Infinit Spaces Limited, stated, “Sify Noida 02, North India’s largest data center campus, is a crucial milestone in India’s AI mission and digital infrastructure. We are excited to announce that our AI-ready Noida 02 facility is now fully operational. This initiative strengthens our commitment to India’s digital transformation and AI-driven future.” Uttar Pradesh has already executed investments worth ₹15 lakh crore, generating job opportunities for numerous young professionals.
The newly inaugurated facility comprises three scalable towers with horizontal and vertical expansion capabilities, boasting a total capacity exceeding 130 MW, along with an on-premise 220 KV substation. Noida 01 and Noida 02 are securely interconnected via four diverse fiber paths, ensuring direct connectivity to hyperscalers, OTT platforms, and cloud services. With 10 levels of access control, the campus maintains stringent security measures from entry to the server cages. CM Yogi reiterated that world-class connectivity projects have positioned Uttar Pradesh as a model for seamless business operations. The state’s streamlined investment processes, including over 500 single-window clearances and the Nivesh Sarathi portal, are fostering a dynamic ecosystem for investors, reinforcing UP’s status at the forefront of India’s digital and economic transformation.
