Delhivery, a leading Indian logistics company, has announced the elevation of Vani Venkatesh to the role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer. The strategic appointment is effective immediately, following approval by the Board of Directors upon a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Venkatesh originally joined the Gurugram-based organization in February 2025, serving as Chief Business Officer and a Key Managerial Personnel. In her previous capacity, she was responsible for steering the company’s revenue functions.
In her expanded mandate as Deputy CEO, Venkatesh will consolidate commercial leadership by overseeing revenue generation, marketing, and customer experience. Furthermore, she will collaborate closely with Delhivery’s operations teams to ensure seamless integration between commercial strategy and logistical execution.
Sahil Barua, Managing Director and CEO of Delhivery, emphasized that her promotion is a testament to her growing impact within the organization. Barua noted that the move aligns with Delhivery’s ongoing commitment to developing its executive leadership to manage diverse and expanding roles.
Before joining Delhivery, Venkatesh built an extensive executive portfolio spanning over two decades. Her career includes prominent senior roles at Airtel, where she served as CEO for Global Business, CEO for the Delhi NCR Region, Chief Marketing Officer, and CEO of the Retail Business. Her professional background also features tenures at McKinsey, Unilever, and Abbott Nutrition.
Venkatesh holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost and Works Accountant, and Company Secretary.
