Digital India Bhashini and Department of Posts Forge MoU to Enhance Language Accessibility and Tech-Driven Services

The Digital India Bhashini Division has officially signed an MoU with the Department of Posts (DoP), a pillar of India’s communication network and socio-economic growth.

The MoU was exchanged between Shri Amitabh Nag, CEO of BHASHINI, and B. Raghavendra Rao, Assistant Director (Administration) in Bengaluru.

With a network of over 164K post offices, the DoP has played a pivotal role in social and economic development.

Key Areas of Collaboration:
🔹 Bhashini Integration: Bringing seamless language translation to DoP services for improved accessibility.
🔹 Tech Innovation: Exploring AI-driven solutions to improve postal and citizen services.
🔹 Vernacular Governance: Promoting multi-language communication for better governance and public service delivery.

With the collaboration now officially underway, this partnership will enhance the way services are delivered, making government portals and interactions more inclusive and accessible for all.

BHASHINI (Translation Mission) is implemented by Digital India BHASHINI Division, an Independent Business Division (IBD) under Digital India Corporation, a Section 8 Company of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
