Dr. Renu Raj, IAS, has assumed charge as State Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Kerala, effective September 16, 2026. Alongside the new responsibility, she has also taken charge as Executive Director of the State Health Agency and Executive Director of eHealth Kerala.
The State Health Agency is responsible for implementing Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY in Kerala, while eHealth Kerala focuses on strengthening digital health systems. The three assignments bring together public health service delivery, healthcare financial protection and digital health under her leadership.
A 2015-batch IAS officer, Dr. Renu Raj has been serving as Additional Secretary in Kerala’s Health & Family Welfare Department. She is expected to work towards better coordination across these healthcare systems and strengthening health outcomes across the state.
